AMENITIES
While this rental house is located in a peaceful village, there are plenty of activities if you are so inclined:
-- At 710 meters in altitude, and with plenty of fresh air, there is hiking --- or a simple walk;
--or mountain climbing --- including the nearby Via Ferrata de la Grande Fistoire, located in Le Caire;
--La Motte has become a center for glider (planeur) enthusiasts. Flights and lessons are offered at the Club de Vol a Voile;
--La Motte is also home of Adventure Extreme which provides paragliding instruction;
-- horseback riding is provided at La Batie Neuve, a nearby farm;
-- in the summer there are frequent fetes in La Motte or in the nearby villages;
-- enjoy the native flora, wild flowers or orchards of fruit trees;
-- and best activity of all, finding a favorite scenic spot to sit, sketch, read or do nothing at all !!
